The Role
- As Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of core financial reporting and statutory responsibilities, playing a key role in maintaining robust financial controls and delivering high-quality outputs.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial and statutory accounts.
- Support year-end reporting and audit processes.
- Act as a key contact for external auditors.
- Manage VAT compliance and reporting.
- Ensure strong financial controls and technical accounting standards are maintained.
About You
- We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dedicated financial accounting role.
- CCAB qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIPFA / CIMA) – strong part-qualified or exceptional QBE candidates will also be considered.
- Proven experience in a pure financial accounting role (not just as part of a broader finance position).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of statutory reporting.
- Excellent systems knowledge and confidence working with finance systems.
- Experience liaising with auditors and handling audit processes.
