Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Operative to join a busy night shift warehouse and yard operation in Slough. This is a fast-paced logistics environment requiring a proactive individual with strong FLT skills, attention to detail, and commitment to health & safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) to safely load and unload goods
- Moving stock efficiently within the warehouse and yard
- Supporting stock control, storage, and distribution operations
- Carrying out daily FLT safety checks and equipment inspections
- Ensuring accurate handling and placement of goods
- Adhering to all health & safety regulations and site procedures
- Assisting with general warehouse duties where required
- Supporting the night shift operation to meet deadlines
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
- Ability to work night shifts (22:00 start)
- Strong understanding of health & safety practices
- Physically fit and comfortable in a fast-paced, manual role
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a 3PL / logistics / supply chain environment
- Previous night shift experience
- Flexible approach to warehouse and yard duties
