Contract Length: 8-10 weeks
Start Date: Approximately 3-4 weeks
Shift Pattern: Night shifts - 10.00pm to 4.30am
Rate: £300 per night (non-CIS)
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to work on supermarket fire protection refurbishment and re-fit projects in King's Lynn. This is a night-shift role overseeing works within a live supermarket environment, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.
You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring full compliance with health and safety requirements throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of fire protection works on supermarket refurbishment and fit-out projects.
- Managing subcontractors and site labour during night shifts.
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, method statements, and specifications.
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and housekeeping.
- Liaising with the wider project team and reporting progress as required.
- Managing site documentation, permits, RAMS, and compliance records.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on supermarket refurbishment or fit-out projects.
- Fire protection experience is essential.
- Experience working within live retail environments.
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and site compliance.
- Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certificates.
- Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage night-shift operations.
