Civil Project Engineer – Sheffield – Salary: 38,000 - 48,000

This Civil Project Engineer opportunity is with a leading consultancy in Sheffield that is continuing to grow and invest in its people. The Civil Project Engineer will join a supportive multi-office civil engineering team delivering highways, drainage and development infrastructure projects across the UK. For a Civil Project Engineer who enjoys hands-on design, coordination and career progression, this is an excellent opportunity within a collaborative and well-run business.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver highways and drainage designs for development and adoptable works
  • Prepare calculations, sketches, design models and technical drawings
  • Use AutoCAD, Site3D, Causeway Flow or similar software
  • Work to current standards including CIRIA guides, BRE Digest and BS EN 752
  • Support S278, S38 and S104 approvals and related submissions
  • Manage your workload across multiple projects and support programme delivery
  • Undertake site visits and prepare reports and specifications
  • Support junior staff and contribute to design quality and team efficiency

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of UK highways and drainage design experience
  • Strong AutoCAD, Site3D, Causeway Flow or similar capability
  • Good understanding of S278, S38 and S104 standards
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage delivery efficiently
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Working toward Chartership, or interested in pursuing it
