A leading insurance organisation is seeking a talented Senior FP&A Accountant to join its high‑performing finance team. The business is undergoing a period of transformation, modernising its planning and reporting capabilities while continuing to deliver strong performance across its operations. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment that values analytical rigour and continuous improvement.
This is a 12‑month Fixed Term Contract, offering an immediate or April start. You will play a key role within the FP&A function, delivering high‑quality financial planning, forecasting and analysis, and supporting ongoing process and system enhancements. The position requires strong technical ability, commercial awareness, and confidence to partner effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of annual budgets, forecasts and longer‑term planning cycles
- Produce insightful reporting, analysis and commentary for senior leaders
- Conduct variance, profitability and scenario analysis to inform decision‑making
- Identify risks and opportunities and provide evidence‑based recommendations
- Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards and KPIs
- Support finance transformation initiatives, including system and reporting improvements
- Contribute to the implementation and testing of new planning and forecasting tools
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post‑qualification experience in FP&A or financial analysis
- Strong Excel capability with exposure to PowerBI, PowerQuery and dashboarding
- Experience within insurance or broader financial services is advantageous but not essential
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and communicating complex financial information to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
- Ability to start in April or earlier (no later notice period)
- Competitive salary of £65,000–£75,000 depending on experience
