Salary: £40,579.20

Contract: Full Time Permanent, 39 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Rochester, a CATEGORY C & Male prison. As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced colleagues from various disciplines and contribute to a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with plumbing, carpentry, painting, cleaning, and administrative staff on maintenance projects.
  • Perform electrical installation and maintenance tasks on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
  • Implement planned and preventive maintenance operations.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). For example: 2367 or 2357.
  • Two years' experience as a fully qualified electrician
  • Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems
  • Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
