We are looking for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to carry out remedial and maintenance works on fire doors within occupied residential and commercial properties. Skilled in ensuring fire doors comply with current fire safety standards and regulations through detailed inspections, adjustments and repairs.
Duties Included:
- Carrying out remedial works to existing fire doors
- Ease and adjustment of door gaps to achieve compliance
- Adjusting and replacing hinges, closers, seals and ironmongery
- Repairing and replacing damaged door components
- Installing intumescent strips and smoke seals
- Conducting inspections and identifying non-compliance issues
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with fire safety regulations
- Working within occupied properties while maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Completing paperwork and reporting completed works accurately
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
