The Opportunity
Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a leading industrial manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Filling Operative to join their Teesside operation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast‑paced production environment where safety, quality, teamwork and continuous improvement are at the forefront of day‑to‑day operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production, packaging and dispatch activities, ensuring products are manufactured, handled and delivered safely and efficiently in line with site standards.
The Role
As Filling Operative, you will support the safe and efficient filling, packing and movement of products across the manufacturing operation. Working closely with production and warehouse teams, you will ensure operational targets are achieved while maintaining high housekeeping, safety and quality standards throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production and filling machinery safely and effectively
- Support the manufacture, packing, labelling and dispatch of products
- Handle empty packaging and packed finished goods in line with site procedures
- Move finished goods from production to warehouse areas efficiently
- Assist in achieving daily production plans and operational KPIs
- Record production downtime and stock consumables accurately
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all working areas
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with HSE procedures and company standards
- Report production, safety or quality issues in a timely manner
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Take part in safety observations, hazard identification and behavioural safety activities
- Work collaboratively with site SHEQ teams to ensure compliance and safe working practices
- Support overtime requirements where required to meet business demands
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards. You will also be able to demonstrate:
