Love fresh produce? Thrive on detail? Enjoy being the person who keeps everything moving behind the scenes? We're looking for a sharp, commercially aware Technologist to join a fast-paced fresh produce business where no two days look the same. This is one of those roles where you'll have real visibility, real responsibility, and real influence - working closely with customers, growers, suppliers, and internal teams to keep standards high and shelves stocked with quality products.

What’s the role all about? You’ll be the technical link between customer expectations and operational delivery - making sure quality, compliance, and continuous improvement stay front and centre. One minute you’ll be analysing customer KPIs and spotting trends, the next you’ll be out visiting growers, retail customers or working with commercial and NPD teams on new projects.

What you will be getting stuck into:

  • Managing technical relationships with key retail customers
  • Analysing KPIs, trends & performance data
  • Driving improvements through QMS systems
  • Handling complaints reporting and identifying solutions that actually stick
  • Supporting artwork and label approvals
  • Visiting growers and suppliers on-site
  • Keeping specifications accurate, compliant & customer-ready
  • Working closely with Technical, Commercial, NPD & Supply Chain teams
  • Supporting customer projects and business improvement plans

What we're looking for:

  • Experience within fresh produce, food manufacturing, or horticulture
  • Someone organised, analytical, and naturally detail-focused
  • A confident communicator who can build relationships at all levels
  • A proactive mindset - someone who spots problems before they become problems
  • The ability to stay calm, logical, and solutions-focused under pressure
  • A team player who's happy to roll sleeves up and support where needed

The package:

  • Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
  • 33 days annual leave
  • Competitive salary
  • Genuine opportunity to develop and grow within the business

Why this role? Because this isn't a "sit behind a desk and tick boxes" technical role. You’ll have the chance to influence quality from field to shelf, work directly with customers, and become part of a business that genuinely values collaboration, standards, and doing things properly.
