Equipment Hire Controller in Oxford

A highly organised Hire controller is required for our prestigious market leading, award winning, Sunday Times Fast track 100 client.

Salary: circa £30k‑£34k+ dependent on experience. Benefits include bonus, generous holidays, contributory pension scheme and private healthcare medical insurance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience as a hire controller, familiar with the hire control process from start to finish.
• Knowledge of processing hire quotes, sales quotations, quotation orders, hire purchase orders, hire sales order processes or similar hire control activities.
• Highly organised, meticulous attention to detail and a flexible, positive can‑do attitude.
• Good team player with strong IT skills and experience with SAP, CRM or similar systems.
• Full UK driving licence and residence within commutable distance to Aylesbury office for a permanent onsite role (full time 8.30‑5.30 Monday to Friday).
• Desirable: Experience within the plant machinery, plant equipment, hire plant, hire fleet, vehicle plant, fleet automobile industry, construction plant industry or similar plant industry (not essential).

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle customer plant hire enquiries over the phone and by email, ensuring timely service and adherence to customer specifications.
• Convert incoming purchase orders, ensure equipment availability, process and send order confirmations to customers.
• Complete all purchase order paperwork, sales administration and hire documentation linked to the sales order.
• Address customer hire invoice queries, disputes, technical questions, negotiations and deliver excellent customer service.
• Manage and maintain the SAP hire system, ensuring compliance, accurate contracts and quotations throughout the process.

Purpose: The hire controller role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, managing hire sales quotations and controlling the hire process to completion, meeting customer specifications and satisfaction.
