Our client is looking for an organised and motivated Office Administrator to join their growing and fast-paced business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and can confidently support the day-to-day operations of both the transport and warehouse departments. The successful candidate will work closely with the Logistics Manager, providing administrative and operational support across a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Booking transport jobs and scheduling deliveries
- Planning and allocating drivers and vehicles
- Booking loads in and out of the warehouse
- Processing driver timesheets
- Using telematics and tachograph analysis software
- Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally
- Pricing jobs using internal booking systems
- Ensuring monthly purchase orders are received and processed
- Carrying out general office administration duties
Skills & Experience Required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Previous experience within transport, logistics, or warehouse administration would be advantageous
Additional Information
This role includes participation in an on-call rota for evenings and weekends. This is currently approximately once per month, although this may change. An additional payment of £250 per month is provided for on-call duties.
