Heat Pump Project Manager – Northern Home Counties, East / South Midlands

Are you ready to step up from site supervision into managing large-scale commercial heat pump projects? My client is a rapidly expanding renewable energy business delivering commercial heat pump and ground-mounted solar projects. With a team of 20, they focus on quality over quantity, installing systems for luxury apartments and large-scale commercial clients. The business is on a major growth trajectory, offering ambitious team members opportunities to learn, progress, and shape the future of sustainable energy.

The role is to oversee 2-3 projects at any one time, manage subcontractors, supervise site managers, and report to the Senior Project Manager and Operations Director. Full training is provided, including mandatory heat pump certification and CSCS working at height, so new starters can hit the ground running. The role is ideal for site supervisors looking to move into project management, or existing project managers wanting exposure to renewable energy projects.

The Role

  • Deliver 2-3 heat pump projects simultaneously from start to finish
  • Manage and coordinate site managers and subcontractors effectively
  • Ensure projects meet quality, budget, and schedule targets
  • Maintain health & safety compliance on all sites
  • Report project progress to Senior Project Manager and Operations Director

The Person

  • Experienced in site supervision, project management, or renewable energy projects
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Mechanical or HVAC background; heat pump experience advantageous
  • Ambitious, adaptable, and motivated by growth and learning
  • Positive, proactive, and solutions-focused
