Contract Personnel is recruiting for a privately owned manufacturer and developer of plastic packaging for a variety of industries, with many well-known brands, with a reputation for quality, service, and innovation.

The Role

  • Working in a small team to ensure that quality and cleanliness of product are maintained to an excellent standard.
  • Responsible for packing, labelling and recording product as necessary.
  • Documenting and recording product details.
  • Always ensuring quality of product.
  • Product inspection.
  • Maintaining safety and hygiene standards are met.
  • Ensuring operating procedures are always fully complied with.
  • Respond to machine alarms.
  • Conduct colour changes to specific customer standards & complete accurate documentation.
  • Machine and auxiliary clean downs.
  • Advance to higher grades and take on respective additional responsibilities.
  • Assisting with training when level reached.
  • Full training will be provided.

The Candidate

  • Strong numeracy skills.

Hours

  • 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 3-shift rotating pattern, (06:00am to 14:00pm, 22:00pm to 06:00am and 14:00pm to 22:00pm (1/2-hour unpaid break per shift).
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required depending on the needs of the company.

Pay

  • £12.71 per hour (Day rate) and £13.51 (Night rate). Rates will increase with grade progression.
