We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and well-structured commercial workshop in Pontefract. This is a great opportunity for an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Truck Technician looking for a strong hourly rate, consistent shift pattern and long-term stability. You will be working as part of a skilled team maintaining a fleet of HGVs and trailers, ensuring all vehicles remain safe, compliant and roadworthy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out servicing, inspections and repairs on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Completing accurate job cards and service records
- Ensuring all work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards
- Supporting breakdowns and urgent repairs when required
- Working closely with other technicians in a busy workshop environment
About You:
- Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician or similar
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
- A safety first approach to all work
- Full UK driving licence
