We are currently recruiting for an experienced Night Shift Site Manager to join a major port redevelopment project in Stanford-le-Hope. Working for the main contractor, you will oversee dredging and associated marine works during night shift operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all night shift activities relating to dredging and marine works
  • Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant, and site logistics to maintain programme delivery
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Monitor site progress and resolve operational issues during shift hours
  • Oversee permits to work, RAMS, inductions, and general site compliance
  • Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication across shifts
  • Maintain accurate shift reports, progress records, and handovers for daytime management teams
  • Promote safe working practices and maintain high site standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager on marine, dredging, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of site health & safety procedures and operational management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and manage works independently during night shifts
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred
