Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in hydraulics or pneumatics design, looking for a technically focused role working on bespoke engineering projects from concept through to delivery? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business where you will be responsible for the design and development of power and control systems to meet specific project and client requirements.

You will work closely with the project and engineering teams to ensure designs are delivered safely, accurately and on time. In this role, you will be involved in producing and checking power and control designs, undertaking hydraulic and/or pneumatic calculations where required, and ensuring all engineering deliverables meet internal technical standards, client specifications and class approval requirements.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer with hydraulics experience and a background in engineering design, ideally within offshore or heavy engineering environments.

The Role:

  • Design and develop power and control systems to meet project and client requirements
  • Produce and check design documentation and calculations ensuring compliance with technical and class standards
  • Manage allocated engineering tasks to meet project schedules and quality requirements

The Person:

  • Power and Controls Design Engineer with at least 3 years of relevant design experience
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering design practices
  • HNC in an Engineering discipline with experience in hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems beneficial
