A leading contractor is looking for a Multiskilled Operative (Mechanical / Electrical / Handyman / Carpentry) to join a hospital maintenance team. This is an ongoing maintenance position on a secure healthcare site.

Shift Pattern (Continental Shift):

  • 12-hour shifts: 6am-6pm (days) / 6pm-6am (nights)
  • 14 shifts per month
  • Rate: £30 per hour (flat rate for days and nights)

What you'll do:

  • Fault diagnosis across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Service, maintenance, and repair of mechanical plant and water systems
  • Basic electrical maintenance and small works
  • General building maintenance, handyman duties, and basic carpentry
  • Water sampling, incubation, flushing, and cooling tower checks
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
  • Working in live environments including hospital wards and critical areas
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with hospital regulations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Multiskilled Operative within commercial or healthcare environments
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
  • Basic DBS check (essential)
  • Own tools and full PPE
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical disciplines preferred
  • Experience working in hospitals or critical environments highly desirable
