I am working with an SME consultancy in Leeds that is ready to build their team with the addition of a Transport Planner. This specialist consultancy can offer a Transport Planner unprecedented exposure to projects and clients with the freedom of working on schemes that you want to. As an SME, they have the mobility to target work that you as a Transport Planner want to do and with the backing of the two directors and senior members of the team you'll have the confidence to deliver.
The perfect candidate will be a Transport Planner with good experience on Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Junction Modelling and possibly BREEAM Assessments. Building on this experience you will get to attend client meetings/networking events, attend stakeholder meetings and gain Traffic Modelling, Swept Path Analysis and prelim detailed design experience. The career prospects within this role are unbelievable with the clear possibility of working at Principal level in just a few years for the right candidate.

Transport Planner Responsibilities:- Writing transport statements (TS) and traffic impact assessments (TA) and supporting senior staff in the written preparation of more complex TS and TA
- Preparation of travel plans including undertaking travel surveys with client organisations and analysis of such
- Travel Plan monitoring including liaison with organisations for promotion of the travel plan, monitoring surveys, monitoring of travel plan funds, monitoring reports including review against targets
- Supporting on BREEAM assessments (Tr01 and Tr02)
- Leading on and supporting senior staff with the preparation of traffic models
- Organising traffic surveys and analysing results
- Carrying out site visits & traffic survey work/data
- Producing drawings with a high level of accuracy to support technical report (AutoCad/GIS)
- Visibility assessments and swept path analysis
- Preliminary access design
- Reviewing of internal layout for serviceability and functionality - working with architects
- Liaising with other team members, co-professionals and clients
- Attendance at meetings with clients and regulators
- Preparation of quotations for work
- Managing projects involving the above
- Ad-hoc admin duties e.g. collation of technical reports/setting up of projects on the system
- Representing Via Solutions at events
