An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and passionate Director of Learning for Computer Science to join a thriving secondary academy located on the Isle of Sheppey. We are seeking an inspiring educator and leader who is committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning within Computer Science and driving departmental success. This role would suit an experienced Head of Department or an exceptional Computer Science teacher ready to take the next step into leadership.

The Role

  • Lead and develop the Computer Science department
  • Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Computer Science or a related subject

  • Previous middle leadership or Head of Department experience is desirable
  • The confidence and ambition to step into a leadership role
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full-time availability from September 2026

Location

The academy is based on the Isle of Sheppey, so applicants must be able to reliably commute to the area. Due to limited public transport links, this role is best suited to candidates who are drivers.
