Are you a confident negotiator with experience in Debt Recovery? Due to internal growth, we're looking for a Debt Recovery Agent to handle complex customer accounts, recover overdue balances, and support cases.

Salary: Competitive Salary + up to 10% bonus

Hours: Monday - Friday (no weekends)

Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours

Location: Sale, Manchester Hybrid - 3 days WFH, 2 days office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customer debt cases
  • Handle inbound queries and proactively contact overdue customers
  • Agree payment plans and reset Direct Debits to prevent future debt
  • Work with internal teams and third party agencies where required
  • Support complex tenancy cases and resolve disputes preventing payment
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including GDPR
  • Achieving and working towards targets

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in Debt Recovery, Payment Support
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written
  • Confident in making decisions
  • Customer focused
  • Experience handling complex customer issues
  • Knowledge of debt management systems, regulatory frameworks, and ledger management
  • Background in utilities debt collection is desirable
