Our client, an established software group working across energy, AI, and technology-led industries, is looking for a strong C# Software Developer who can demonstrate a consistent track record of delivering complex, long-term projects aligned to the kind of work their teams undertake. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering environment where you will help design, build, and enhance scalable cloud-based applications used by both growing startups and established global organisations. The successful candidate must have hands-on experience working on ongoing energy industry projects and be able to demonstrate delivery across enterprise-scale or business-critical platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using ASP.NET MVC and C#
- Deliver scalable, secure, cloud-based solutions within energy-focused environments
- Work with Postgres and Azure SQL to optimise database performance and structure
- Build and maintain serverless applications using Azure Functions
- Support and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Collaborate closely with senior developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
- Work across long-term, continuous delivery projects with evolving client requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong background in ASP.NET MVC and C#
- Proven experience delivering projects within the energy sector
- Evidence of working on ongoing, business-critical software projects similar to enterprise delivery environments
- Strong experience with Postgres and/or Azure SQL
- Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Functions
- Solid understanding of CI/CD processes, ideally using Azure DevOps
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work effectively within Agile development teams
Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Azure App Services and Azure Service Bus
- Experience working within Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience working on data-heavy or operational systems within utilities or infrastructure sectors
