The predicted salary is between 14 - 16 £ per hour.

We are currently seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team in Malmesbury. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in MIG welding and have a solid understanding of engineering drawings and component fitting. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on mild steel of various thicknesses.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings with minimal guidance.
  • Carry out fitting tasks, including component alignment, shaft fitting, and drive fitting.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail in every task.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety standards and company policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in MIG welding, particularly with mild steel.
  • Ability to interpret and follow engineering drawings accurately.
  • Competence in fitting and aligning components (shaft and drive fitting, etc.).
  • Strong awareness of safety standards and practices in the workplace.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:50 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:50 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Total weekly hours: 40 hours
  • Overtime Available: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate until 4:00 PM on Fridays, plus an additional 30 minutes every morning (4 hours total).

Pay

£14-16 per hour, depending on experience.
