Shift Pattern: Panama Shifts 2 weekends of every month

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated and fast-paced operation based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established engineering team within a distribution environment, working with automated systems and equipment.

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for delivering both reactive and planned maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising operational downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs, and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
  • Maintain and repair a wide range of automated machinery including Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS), cranes, chain and roller conveyors.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background.
  • Ability to fault find under pressure and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
