The Role: As a Field Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of pump systems across client sites. You will play a key role in diagnosing faults, delivering effective solutions, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will work both independently and as part of a team, providing technical expertise and maintaining the high standards our client is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of pumps.
- Conduct inspections and troubleshooting to diagnose pump faults accurately.
- Work closely with clients to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards during all work.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to clients on pump operation and maintenance.
- Deliver excellent customer service, building long-term client relationships.
- Complete work efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain accurate service records, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts used.
- Stay up to date with new pump technologies and industry developments.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working as a Pump Engineer.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of on-site treatment plants and pump stations (foul and clean water).
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
- IT literate and comfortable using PDA systems for job reporting.
- Flexible and willing to work varied hours and respond to emergency call-outs when required.
- Full UK manual driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
