Are you a skilled and experienced Pump Engineer looking for an exciting field-based role? Our client is looking for a dedicated Field Pump Engineer to join their growing team, delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services to a wide range of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working field-based at client sites, solving technical challenges, and providing exceptional customer service while building strong relationships with clients.

Location: In a daily commutable distance to Maidenhead, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Luton, Cambridge.

The Role: As a Field Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of pump systems across client sites. You will play a key role in diagnosing faults, delivering effective solutions, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will work both independently and as part of a team, providing technical expertise and maintaining the high standards our client is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of pumps.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshooting to diagnose pump faults accurately.
  • Work closely with clients to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards during all work.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to clients on pump operation and maintenance.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, building long-term client relationships.
  • Complete work efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate service records, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts used.
  • Stay up to date with new pump technologies and industry developments.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working as a Pump Engineer.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of on-site treatment plants and pump stations (foul and clean water).
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
  • IT literate and comfortable using PDA systems for job reporting.
  • Flexible and willing to work varied hours and respond to emergency call-outs when required.
  • Full UK manual driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
