Our client, a well established manufacturing company based in Wolverhampton, is currently recruiting for a Rolling Mill Operator/Setter to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long term career within manufacturing, with full training available for the right trainee candidate and higher rates offered for experienced setters.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 3:30pm
  • Friday: 7:00am to 12:00pm
  • 37 hours per week

Pay Rates

  • £12.71 per hour for trainee candidates
  • Up to £14.00 per hour for experienced Rolling Mill Setters

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating rolling mill machinery to production specifications
  • Monitoring machine performance and product quality
  • Carrying out machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting
  • Ensuring materials are processed efficiently and safely
  • Completing production documentation accurately
  • Maintaining a clean and organized working area

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operating environment preferred
  • Experience as a rolling mill setter/operator advantageous but not essential for trainee applicants
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
