Duties of a Vehicle Technician

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on luxury and performance vehicles to the highest standards
  • Use advanced diagnostic equipment and specialised tools to accurately identify faults
  • Work on a variety of models including high-performance cars, classic vehicles, and modern performance sports cars
  • Assist with vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and MOTs (if qualified), ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, providing technical support and sharing best practices
  • Document all work thoroughly, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional communication at all times

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician

  • Proven experience as a Technician, Master Technician, or equivalent, ideally with a background in luxury or performance vehicles
  • Genuine passion for high-performance cars with a focus on quality and detail
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in motor vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • MOT licence advantageous but not essential; willingness to develop further
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and responsibly
  • Good communication skills and a professional appearance
  • Ability to work efficiently on complex and older vehicle systems
  • Driven to deliver high-quality workmanship with minimal supervision
