Painters needed for a big stately house redecoration. Exterior and interior works to be completed. Long term contract. Must have previous experience, CSCS cards and tool kits. Starts Monday.

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Painters to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Duties:

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
  • Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Follow technical specifications and colour schemes accurately to meet project requirements.
  • Mask off areas to protect surfaces not intended for painting.
  • Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colours and textures.
  • Perform minor repairs on surfaces prior to painting, including patching holes or cracks.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste materials responsibly and cleaning tools after use.
  • Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and fabrication teams as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in construction painting or related trades such as roofing, carpentry, masonry, or welding is preferred.
  • Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in painting and surface preparation.
  • Ability to work with various materials including paints, primers, stains, and coatings.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures related to working at heights or around hazardous substances.
  • Basic understanding of other construction trades such as plumbing or electrical work is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting equipment and working at heights if necessary.
  • Relevant experience in fabrication or working with specialised coatings is a plus.
