TeacherActive is looking for an experienced Primary SEND Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition based in Lewisham, starting from September. The successful tutor must have strong experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be confident delivering engaging, tailored lessons in both Maths and English at primary level.
The role will involve:
- Delivering 1:1 tuition sessions in Maths and English
- Supporting a primary-aged pupil with SEND
- Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Building confidence, engagement and progress
- Working closely with families, schools and support staff where required
The ideal tutor will have:
- Experience working with children with SEND
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
- Ability to teach both Maths and English
- A patient, nurturing and flexible approach
- Previous tutoring, teaching or intervention experience
