Japanese Foods company is seeking for Quality Assurance.

Location: West London

Salary: up to 45K

The role:

  • You will be working within the QA/ Technical Team.
  • Ensuring safety, quality and authenticity of Clearspring branded products and their ongoing compliance with the applicable food regulations, organic standards, company guidelines and other codes of practice.
  • Maintaining Clearspring product database, ERP system, product specifications and related QA records with up to date and accurate information.
  • Undertaking communications with our suppliers, reviewing and approving suppliers' technical documentation to ensure continuous compliance with the relevant regulations, agreed specifications and company standards.
  • Assisting with internal and external enquiries for technical information; completing customer questionnaires, new line forms, specifications.
  • Responding to customer queries and complaints and investigating them with the suppliers.
  • Undertaking necessary QC checks, monitoring, reporting, investigating and closing non-conformances.
  • Working closely with the Product Development team during product development process to ensure the compliance of the final product and the product label.
  • Actively participating in maintaining company QMS and HACCP plan and keeping up to date with the emerging trends in the fields of food safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintaining relevant third-party certifications (BRC, Organic, Demeter, Vegan, Kosher, packaging waste and recyclability reporting obligations).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Fluent written & spoken English.
  • Experience in a technical role in a similar food brand holder/ importer/ distributor environment.
  • Technical knowledge of a wide range of ambient product categories.
  • Good scientific background/ understanding of food science.
  • Working knowledge of EU / UK Food Regulations.
  • Good understanding and training in HACCP principles.
  • Good data skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, databases, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete varied workload with proactive approach to problem solving.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail with good analytical skills.
