Full-Time Uxbridge Primary School Setting September Start MPS. Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Uxbridge area to appoint a passionate and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a KS2 Class Teacher position. This role is exclusively for ECTs and offers an excellent opportunity to begin your teaching career in a nurturing environment, with a strong focus on mentoring, professional development, and career progression.

The Role

  • As a KS2 Class Teacher, you will support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development, helping them build confidence and independence as they progress through Key Stage 2.
  • You will benefit from a comprehensive ECT induction programme, including ongoing support from experienced teachers and senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum.
  • Support learning and progression in core subjects (reading, writing, and maths).
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using feedback to inform future teaching.
  • Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEN.
  • Encourage resilience, independence, and a love of learning.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.

Requirements

  • Currently completing or recently completed teacher training (working towards or achieved QTS).
  • A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum developed through placements.
  • A positive, reflective, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Good classroom management skills appropriate for an ECT level.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time role in Uxbridge from September.

Desirable

  • KS2 placement experience (Upper or Lower KS2).
  • Awareness of assessment and pupil progress tracking.
  • Understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN).
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
