About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Fire Alarm & Security Engineer to join our growing team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work across a range of commercial sites including hospitals and retail environments, carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and commissioning works on fire alarm and security systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking for long-term stability and progression within a professional and supportive company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding of fire alarm systems
- Working on commercial sites including hospitals and retail premises
- Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with industry regulations and company standards
- Completing relevant documentation and service reports accurately
- Liaising professionally with clients, site managers, and contractors
- Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- FIA Units 1 & 2 certification essential
- BS2391 / BS5839 certification required
- Previous experience working on commercial fire alarm and security systems
- Experience within hospital and retail environments preferred
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
Desirable Experience:
- Security systems experience including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms
- Experience working independently across multiple sites
- ECS/CSCS card beneficial
