About the Role

As a CBRE Technical Sr. Manager, you will manage the team responsible for all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and workforce development programs for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. The team provides support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You'll Do

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations and coaching, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
  • Coordinate and manage daily activities: establish schedules, assign tasks, cross‑train staff, and track deadlines.
  • Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities and develop operating and capital budgets.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to preventive maintenance programs and create building‑specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
  • Serve as the point of contact for maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel, and technicians.
  • Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues while staying current with technology trends.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with high‑profile tenants, clients, owners, facility management team, and vendors.
  • Drive acquisition of new management contracts and facilitate development of as‑built drawings.
  • Respond to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure) and customer concerns.
  • Apply broad business knowledge to integrate discipline with others toward team and departmental goals.
  • Lead by example, model CBRE RISE values, and influence others while following policies and plans.
  • Identify and solve complex technical and operational problems.
  • Understand and recognize broader departmental impact.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the discipline.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 5‑8 years of relevant experience; education/experience combinations may be considered.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance appraisal, and retention.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, or difficult information, convey expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team toward operational targets with cross‑disciplinary impact.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
