Broughton House is a 29 bed specialist residential service for adults with severe learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.
We are currently recruiting full time Support Workers with a passion for delivering outstanding care who are looking to make a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care. You will be working 42 hours a week, covering 12-hour shifts on a rolling 2 week rota following the below shift pattern:
- Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun (7.45am to 7.45pm)
- Week 2: Wed, Thurs (7.45am to 7.45pm)
Due to the remote location of the service and lack of public transport, applicants must be a driver or have their own means of transport. Please note: We do not offer Sponsorship for this role and you must have over 12 months remaining on your current visa to be considered.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Offering enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
- Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
- Learning about individuals' specific needs and providing help in the most appropriate way
- Assisting with medical and welfare needs
- Reporting on medical and welfare needs as required
- Maintaining a safe, clean environment for all
