We are seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator to join a well‑established manufacturing team based in Lancing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with sheet metal or engineering production experience who is looking for a long‑term role with consistent hours and great working conditions. The successful candidate will operate CNC Brake Press machinery to produce high‑quality metal components, working to drawings and ensuring accuracy throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust CNC Brake Press machinery.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Carry out quality checks on finished products using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Select appropriate tooling and materials for each job.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all H&S procedures.
- Identify and report any machine issues or production defects.
- Work as part of a friendly and efficient production team to meet deadlines and output targets.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience operating a CNC Brake Press (Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, or similar).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
