Full-Time KS1 Class Teacher (ECT) position at Stoke Poges Primary School starting in September. Supply Desk is working with a friendly and supportive primary school in the Stoke Poges area to recruit a passionate Early Career Teacher (ECT) for this role. This is an ideal opportunity for an ECT to begin their teaching career in a nurturing environment, with strong mentoring and a structured induction programme.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum.
  • Support early development in phonics, reading, writing, and maths.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEN.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.

Requirements

  • ECT (QTS achieved or pending).
  • KS1 teaching experience from placements.
  • Good understanding of phonics and early learning.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and reflective teaching approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full-time availability in Uxbridge from September.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with phonics schemes (e.g. Read Write Inc, Little Wandle).
  • Experience supporting SEN pupils.
  • Understanding of early assessment frameworks.
  • Commitment to professional development.
