PK Education is currently working with a warm and inclusive primary school in Birmingham to recruit an experienced and confident Teaching Assistant to support within a KS1 classroom. This full-time, long-term position is available immediately and would suit a proactive TA who thrives in a fast-paced Key Stage 1 environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils within a KS1 classroom setting
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Supporting phonics, early reading, writing and numeracy
  • Assisting with personal care routines where required
  • Promoting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development
  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider EYFS team

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within KS1
  • Confidence supporting phonics and early years learning
  • A calm, nurturing and proactive approach
  • Strong behaviour management skills suited to younger learners
