We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Project Manager - Signalling Rail to join our dynamic Eastern and Southern team at Bedford. 37.5 hrs per week - Hybrid working. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of small to medium sized signalling projects, predominantly through the ERP framework, to contract specification and programme, while building and sustaining long‑term customer relationships.

This role offers you the unique opportunity to work with one of NR main contractors on Signalling and OLE frameworks across the Eastern region.

What You’ll Do:

  • Project mobilisation in line with core Business requirements including production of core project documentation.
  • Ensure projects meet critical success factors, project acceptance criteria and customer quality expectations.
  • Defining products / specific deliverables to be delivered by the project.
  • Ensuring that the engagement of any third‑party project resources is managed in accordance with Amey procedures and policies.
  • Planning, executing and finalising projects according to agreed deadlines and within budget.
  • Applying appropriate APM principles to the management of projects in line with agreed Amey procedures and standards.
  • Ensuring project compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and other appropriate regulations.
  • Forecasting, monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of the project, through regular (minimum monthly) reports, comparing actual and forecast performance for costs, programme, risk and safety including variations.
  • Maintaining regular liaison with all stakeholders (external & internal) and employees on the progress of projects.
  • Documenting any relevant case studies that can be used to support future bids and support bid development.
  • Identify and manage ongoing continuous improvement opportunities and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Ensuring sign‑off from relevant stakeholders that the project deliverables meet the stated requirement.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience of small to medium sized signalling projects including level crossings.
  • Knowledge of new product applications, including product acceptance process.
  • Experience of managing budgets of up to 2 mil.
  • PTS - Personal Track Safety.
  • APM or similar Project Management qualifications.
