Kenton Black are recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Based in Aberdeenshire, the client is a well known house builder known for building homes for private sale throughout the North East of Scotland.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the commercial function across private & affordable housing projects;
  • Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for each project;
  • Monitoring project costs and progress, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines;
  • Procuring subcontractors and conducting site visits one day a week;
  • Providing commercial insight into cost‑effective strategies and managing cost risks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience surveying construction projects post‑graduation;
  • Previous work history backed by positive working references.
