Shift Work (Days/Nights/Weekends)

We are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives for a busy port-based border control operation in Immingham. This role is ideal for candidates with warehouse, port, logistics, or freight handling experience looking for stable, long-term work within a secure and regulated environment.

Working at the UK border control point, you will play a crucial role in the handling, checking, and processing of imported goods, ensuring they meet compliance and safety standards.

Key Duties
  • Loading and unloading containers, trailers, and freight vehicles
  • Handling goods in a port warehouse environment
  • Supporting border inspection checks and customs processes
  • Checking import documentation, labels, and cargo accuracy
  • Using warehouse systems, scanners, and basic IT tools
  • Operating equipment such as Pallet truck, Ped Op and forklifts (if licensed)
  • Maintaining health & safety standards within a port/logistics setting
  • Assisting with general warehouse and yard duties
Requirements
  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, port, or freight handling roles
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
  • Strong attention to detail (essential for border control compliance)
  • Flexible to work shifts (including nights and weekends)
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Valid forklift licence (FLT) - desirable
