We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and well-structured commercial workshop in Pontefract. This is a great opportunity for an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Truck Technician looking for a strong hourly rate, consistent shift pattern and long-term stability.

You will be working as part of a skilled team maintaining a fleet of HGVs and trailers, ensuring all vehicles remain safe, compliant and roadworthy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out servicing, inspections and repairs on HGVs and trailers
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Completing accurate job cards and service records
  • Ensuring all work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards
  • Supporting breakdowns and urgent repairs when required
  • Working closely with other technicians in a busy workshop environment
About You
  • Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician or similar
  • Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
  • A safety first approach to all work
  • Full UK driving licence
