Position Overview: Platinum Recruitment is partnering with a popular restaurant and tearoom in Jersey to bring on a Head Chef. The successful candidate will lead the kitchen team, ensuring high-quality dishes and excellent customer service in a busy, family-friendly environment.
Responsibilities:
- Produce inventive, crowd-pleasing dishes that meet high standards in taste and presentation.
- Lead and train the kitchen staff, providing motivation and retention support.
- Operate a 45-hour week (Monday-Friday 8-4, weekends 8-5) and maintain operational excellence.
- Work closely with the owner and oversee menu development and food costing.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness, inventory management and compliance with health & safety.
- Support the patisserie and pastry operations as needed.
