Berry Recruitment Harlow is currently recruiting for a Street Cleansing Operative to join our client's team on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

About the Role

You will play a key part in maintaining the cleanliness of Harlow's primary public areas. This is a hands-on, outdoor role. This position starts at 12.71 per hour but there will be a pay increase after 12 weeks to 13.45 per hour. You will be working Monday to Friday 07:30 - 15:30.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manual street cleaning and litter collection
  • Operating equipment and handling heavy loads
  • Walking long distances and working in all weather conditions
  • Occasional weekend shifts as required
  • Driving the van from location to location after completing a driving assessment

What You'll Need

  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
  • A friendly, professional manner when interacting with the public
  • Ability to complete daily reports accurately

Additional training may be provided to operate street sweeping machinery, based on performance.
