Duties as a Vehicle Technician
- Perform high‑quality vehicle maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to diagnose damage or wear
- Provide expert technical advice and communicate effectively with customers
- Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with the service reception and workshop control teams to ensure efficient workflow
- Support fellow Vehicle Technicians by sharing technical knowledge and assisting where needed
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in a safe and roadworthy condition
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and repair procedures
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet targets
- Valid UK driving licence is essential; a current MOT licence is advantageous
- Previous experience working with recognised automotive brands is desirable but not mandatory
