Location: Goole

Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Mon - Fri, 7pm - 10pm

Salary: 14% increase for 3 hours. 2-year contract.

Candidates need to be very health and safety conscious due to the small size of stores. Need great attention to detail due to the small size of the store and narrow aisles - especially when using a crane (on the back of a truck and the FLTs).

About the Company:

Our client is a leading organisation within the railway infrastructure sector, recognised for its commitment to excellence and operational reliability. We are seeking dedicated, detail-oriented Warehouse Operators to join the team. This role is essential in ensuring a high standard of materials availability and supporting warehouse operations, including picking, packing, storage, kitting, and distribution of components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general warehouse duties, including accurate and efficient stock picking using handheld or mobile scanning devices to maintain Warehouse Management System (WMS) accuracy.
  • Perform picking, packing, shipping, receiving, put-away, and kitting activities in line with established warehouse management policies.
  • Follow established packing procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with defined quality standards.
  • Verify and check all picked stock and assembled loads prior to dispatch, ensuring accuracy within the designated systems.
  • Maintain the highest quality standards by ensuring all stock is handled carefully so that items reach customers and suppliers in perfect condition.
  • Assist with inventory management by maintaining accurate records of picked and packed items, supporting effective stock-level control and overall inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised work area at all times, adhering to site standards.
  • Work safely within a team environment, complying with all site Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Undertake a variety of tasks to support operational efficiency, housekeeping, and hygiene standards across the warehouse and site.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse experience is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail to support accurate stock management.
  • Good hand-eye-foot coordination to safely operate mechanical handling equipment.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible in approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills to support seamless warehouse operations.
  • Experience with any of the following licences is advantageous: FLT Licence, VNA Licence, Reach Truck Licence, Multi-Directional Licence.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Experience using handheld scanning equipment.
