You'll be joining a leading Tier 1 main contractor with a strong UK presence and a long-standing reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects across defence, infrastructure and the built environment. The business is known for its robust project controls, collaborative culture and commitment to safety, quality and staff development.
As M&E Site Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of a scheme valued at circa £50m, working with a busy public sector client. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all mechanical and electrical works on site. This will include:
- Coordinating subcontractors
- Managing short-term programmes
- Overseeing quality and commissioning activities
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to specification in a constrained, highly regulated environment
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven experience as an M&E Site Manager on large-scale construction projects, ideally within defence, healthcare, residential or other complex environments
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services
- Experience managing specialist M&E subcontractors and coordinating interfaces with main works
- A solid understanding of health & safety, quality assurance and commissioning processes
- SMSTS and relevant CSCS certification (or equivalent)
- Ability to work effectively within a secure site environment and comply with strict procedures
