At Saint Gobain UK & Ireland, we're looking for a Regulatory Affairs & Chemical Compliance Specialist to join Saint-Gobain Exterior Solutions, supporting the business in navigating complex chemical and construction-related regulations while ensuring our products remain fully compliant across UK, European, and international markets. This is a highly collaborative and varied role where you'll act as a key subject matter expert across regulatory affairs, chemical compliance, product stewardship, and health & safety legislation.
You'll work closely with teams across R&D, Quality, Technical, Product Management and Production, helping to interpret legislation, simplify complex requirements, and translate them into practical actions for the business. You'll play an important role in ensuring our products, labels, documentation, and processes comply with legislation including CLP, GHS, REACH, COSHH and other industry standards, while also supporting customer enquiries, audits, and new product development activities.
This role can be based from our site in Flitwick, Larne (Northern Ireland) or Telford (Shropshire). Hybrid working.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience within regulatory affairs, chemical compliance, product stewardship, HSE, or a similar compliance-focused role within construction, manufacturing, or chemicals.
- Knowledge of regulations and standards such as CLP, GHS, REACH, COSHH, FEMAS, or BRC.
- Experience working with Safety Data Sheets (SDS), product labelling, hazardous substances, or chemical classifications.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex legislation and communicate it clearly to different audiences.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting compliance with UK, European, and international chemical and product regulations.
- Reviewing and interpreting legislation changes and advising the business on required actions.
- Creating, maintaining, and reviewing Safety Data Sheets (SDS), labels, and compliance documentation.
- Responding to customer, regulatory, and internal compliance queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Working cross-functionally with teams across R&D, Quality, Technical, Production, and Health & Safety to ensure ongoing compliance and best practice.
