A growing Fire Risk Management team within a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking for a Fire Risk Consultant to join their North of England team. This Fire Risk Consultant role would suit an experienced fire safety professional who is confident delivering fire risk assessments and advising clients across a varied building portfolio. As a Fire Risk Consultant, you will work on complex fire safety challenges across commercial, residential, education, healthcare and public sector properties. The Fire Risk Consultant will be part of a wider consultancy where fire risk sits alongside engineering, design, building safety and property expertise. This is a strong opportunity for a Fire Risk Consultant looking for more technical variety, stronger client exposure and long-term progression. The successful Fire Risk Consultant will be supported to develop into a senior or principal role.

Responsibilities

  • The Fire Risk Consultant will carry out fire risk assessments, produce clear and detailed reports, provide practical fire safety advice and support clients with compliance across a varied property portfolio.
  • The Fire Risk Consultant will also work closely with internal teams, building owners, property managers and design professionals to help clients manage risk, improve safety standards and meet their legal obligations.

Qualifications

  • Experience completing Type 1 to Type 4 fire risk assessments
  • Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform Order and fire safety legislation
  • Experience working across commercial, residential or public sector buildings
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Strong client-facing ability
  • NEBOSH Fire, Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent
  • Membership of the IFE, IFSM or similar
  • Full UK driving licence
