We are recruiting on behalf of our client Whessoe Engineering, for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering delivery team in Darlington. Our client is supported by Samsung C&T and is part of a globally recognised organisation. Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of storage tanks
- Production and verification of engineering calculations and deliverables
- Supervision of engineers and designers within project teams
- Technical support for project bids and tender submissions
- Ensuring compliance with recognised industry design codes, including API and Eurocodes
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience within the oil, gas, petrochemical, or energy sectors
- Experience designing ambient or low-temperature storage tanks
- Knowledge of tank design codes
Desirable Experience
- Chartered Engineer status
- Experience with analysis software such as ANSYS, STAAD, or CAESAR II
- Knowledge of pressure vessel design codes
- Experience using AutoCAD, SmartPlant 3D, PDMS, or Inventor
