Marble Talent Group are seeking a commercially aware individual to support Commercial Managers and Quantity Surveyors across multiple projects. This role involves assisting with cost management, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting to help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with project teams to monitor progress, manage valuations and variations, and support effective cost control, while identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with team members to support commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts.
- Maintain and update contract documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support subcontract procurement, negotiation, and administration processes.
- Assist in managing and valuing contract variations.
- Support the placement of subcontract agreements with specialist subcontractors.
- Assist with subcontractor valuations and the preparation and submission of compliant payment notices.
- Help coordinate the agreement of final accounts, both upstream and downstream.
- Contribute to cost-value reconciliation and ongoing project reporting.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure commercial aspects are effectively managed.
- Review project programmes and assist in issuing contractual notices where required.
- Provide general support to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and wider commercial team.
- HNC/HND/BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field (or working towards).
- Strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and under the guidance of senior staff.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- Basic understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Full driving licence preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant industry placement.
